2. Consultation & Treatment Eligibility

• Weight loss surgery and other treatments involve risks and potential complications, which will be explained during your consultation.
• The final decision on suitability will be made by the specialist based on medical assessments.

3. Advertising & Information Accuracy

• MWLS follows AHPRA advertising regulations, meaning:
• No testimonials, before-and-after images, or success stories are used in advertising.
• No guarantees or unrealistic expectations are implied about weight loss outcomes.
• Balanced and factual information is provided to ensure informed decision-making.

4. Risks & Limitations

• All medical procedures carry risks, including but not limited to surgical complications, infection, nutritional deficiencies, and the need for ongoing lifestyle changes.
• Your healthcare provider will discuss potential risks, benefits, and alternative options before any treatment is undertaken.

5. Privacy & Confidentiality

• MWLS complies with Australian privacy laws and protects patient confidentiality.
• Personal and medical information is securely stored and only used for medical purposes unless legally required to be shared.

6. Appointment & Cancellation Policy

• Patients are required to provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
• Missed appointments without prior notice may incur a cancellation fee.

7. Financial Responsibility

• Some consultations may be offered at no cost, but further services, tests, or procedures may have associated fees.
• MWLS provides payment plans where applicable, but financing approval is subject to third-party providers and not guaranteed.
• Patients seeking to use superannuation for medical funding must apply through the relevant authorities—MWLS can provide guidance but does not control approval decisions.
